Hi Michelle - eek - I have lost your 75 in 2012 thread...can you oblige me with the linlk so I can pay a visit, please? Thanks!
I just read your review of The Tiger's Wife and decided to check your profile out as I too was pleasantly surprised by this novel. I had to leave a comment after seeing your profile pic as I saw the original of this painting in an exhibition in the Auckland Art Gallery last weekend. I attended with my daughter Michelle and this was her favourite in the Degas to Dale exhibition. It is indeed amazing you have good taste in both art and literature it would seem!
Noticed you liked The Bluest Eye, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also southern and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi – have you weighed in yet on the next book for Group Reads – Literature? The discussion thread is here. And Irish set up a poll for us here (it can be amended if there’s lots of interest in a book that isn’t on there yet). Hope to see you there!

Terri
Hi Michelle...it looks like we felt pretty much the same about Sitting Practice. I am also offended by the off-color language in books, especially when it is unnecessary. Btw, I'm very impressed with your many reviews. I am reviewing all my books now as I read them. I find it makes me slow down and think about what I have read. A much more meaningful experience. ~Donna~
