About my libraryMy library at the moment is split between my home in NY and where I live and work in CA for most of the year. (I'm currently a nanny trying to figure out the next step in my life. I've had the opportunity to read hundreds of wonderful children's books, and am slowly adding to my own children's collection...) To me, books offer interesting knowledge, ideas, beliefs, perspectives and escapes. I love books that make me laugh, make me think, and make me appreciate and smile at every single beautifully and cleverly crafted sentence, making me think "wow, I wish I could write like that." A majority of my books have come from used bookstores; I'm an addict. And since my collecting rate far exceeds my reading rate, I have so many books I have yet to read, which makes it so hard to choose which one to read next...

I'm also WAY behind in rating books...
