About meAfter years of meaning to catalog our book collection, I finally happened on LibraryThing. We have so many books that when we moved two years ago the movers asked me if we were lawyers or doctors because of all the books. (We're not -- my husband's an HR guy and I'm a mom. We just like books.)

We live in the Atlanta suburbs with our three young kids, so we don't read as much as we used to, but we still enjoy it. When we got married we each had lots of books and 10 years later we have even more -- and that's not counting how many the kids have. So I am very thankful for Library Thing.

About my libraryMy husband likes historical non-fiction, particularly American or military. I tend to like historical fiction and English lit, with a pretty good dash of SF/fantasy thrown in. And of course we kept all our college books (from Georgia Tech and UVA) because we couldn't bear to part with them.

We also like older books, so we frequent Goodwill and old library sales. Fortunately family has also passed some older books our way.
