I think my personal favorite play by Brecht is The Caucasian Chalk Circle, for its humanity and wicked but earthy humor.
If you're up for an artsy opera in German, listen to Brecht and Weill's Seven Deadly Sins. I love the version with Gisela May. The booklet has an excellent translation of the libretto.
