About meMy name is STAR (Yes, it is something else for my first name on my birth certificate, but my mother already knows what that is so, it's OK...but Starria is a very cool middle name? Don't ya' think?) and I am a SINGLE FEMALE living in RHODE ISLAND in the UNITED STATES. (NEVER Trust MEN, No matter what they tell you! They LIE! That's the BEST and ONLY advice I have for you!) I was born in the 70's on a beautiful sunny and HOT JUNE day...that day being the 15th. I grew up in the 80s through the 90"s and I love the MUSIC. It's the Best. I also love Reading. I grew up with a great family in such a great time. I am a girlie girl through and through. I LOVE FASHION, MAKE-UP, SHOES, HAIR, ACCESSORIES and the like. I LOVE my hardcover books on the above, they are works of art. I also have some really pretty fairy/fae hardcovers that are gorgeous as well. Most are signed, well taken care of and collectable. I love to Horseback ride, coach cheerleading, dance and gymanastics. I LOVE MILK *not dark* chocolate (so important) and shopping. I'm a Paralegal...um, what else, my favorite color is PINK. I journal everday and night. I have since I was a little girl. I love to write. My new favorite phrase is: "Gimme some sugah"...*It does have to be said by the right person...it's usually followed by Kitten* Do you think that's short for sex-kitten or is it me? Oh and I have a kitten and his name is Armani. He has double paws in the front and triple paws in the back. He's beautiful & Unique.

About my libraryMy library is very heterogeneous/eclectic in every way. From Children's Lit to Horror and from YA Lit to Chick Lit to Suspense, Thrillers, Fiction, Non-Fiction, Memoirs, Mysteries...just about anything that has words, I'll read it. (Even the cereal box isn't safe!) I LOVE to read and I LOVE books. I love to write reviews for the ones I've read and I also love my book club. I also have a new Amazon kindle which has begun to take up all of my free time..God, do I LOVE that little gadget! It makes reading easier and fun!(Very hard to describe unless you own one) I have many favorite authors and I am always on the look-out for new ones! Like I said above, I love my hardcover books, they are like works of art to me, I could NEVER give them up. I also keep a blog on blogspot and I'll put that link up as soon as I can!

Hi Star,

Thanks for remembering me, that's very sweet of you.

I can't believe I've had my Kindle for a little over 2 years now. I've read 328 books on it and I still love it. I don't go anywhere without it.

Garry
It's packed and ready to go!
Hi, Amy,
I don't see you on the winners list for The Deadline Murders. Would you like to give me an address to which I can send you a copy, I did promise you. Send it to: riverheron@telefonica.net
Hi, Amy. Yes I'm on twitter. I have your smart new twitter address. I'm researching for an illustration of a Sumxu cat at the moment.
When I find it I will post it on my blog. Not as easy as it seems as this breed of lop eared pussy has been extinct for 300 years!
Enjoy the summer.

Hello, Amy. Great to talk. I am the author of three books so far. They are a series called the Fox & Farraday Mysteries. I've offered 10 of the first one, The Deadline Murders, on Author's Giveaway at the moment. I'm hoping for reviews. I'm also scheduled in for an authors live chat on LibraryThing August 10 - 21st.

I'm an English expat living on the Mediterranean in Spain in a tiny fishing village. When the sun rises about 7.00am I write. My view is the Montgo mountain which is shaped like an elephant's head, which is what the locals call it. At lunchtime my sleek black cat Buns sits on the computer keyboard to tell me it's time to stop. You sound a bit like my book's heroine, Henrietta Fox. I think you might like her. I'm here: www.ronmorgans.com Also here: www.ronmorgans.blogspot.com and on twitter RonMorgans
How did you like Neverwhere? It's the first Neil Gaiman book I read, my daughter brought it back from Scotland in 2004, and it's one of my favourites. Favourite Neil Gaiman and favourite ever, both. I love it and so do our other family readers, we probably have a copy apiece. I just went hunting for a copy to buy for my son to give his friend (and I hope he'll do errands for me someday when he has a car and I don't, lol) -- unsuccessfully, so his friend will have to read American Gods instead.
Hi,

I just used wrote a letter using the contact form on their website; someone responded to me the same day.

Hey,

Congrats! Librarything contacted me and indicated that you'd won a copy of my new novel Dirty Little Angels (in e-book format). Send me your e-mail address (mine is mail@christophertusa.com), and I'll e-mail you the book.

Thanks!

Chris
Amy, I got an offer for Sweetness from someone who already has Deliverance Dane. So if you send me a private message with your address, I will send Deliverance Dane to you!
Star,
So glad to hear from you on the board. I have been praying for you.Can you send me your address? The last I checked, snail mail still works from California (HA) and I know cards are always fun to get. School starts in three weeks here, so my vacation is almost over; but I have read 8 books so far this summer. What a treat after mostly only reading text books for the last four years. Have you read any Julie Spencer-Fleming (or is it Fleming Spencer?). I found them to be page turners. I am now hooked on Elizabeth George and her Lindley/Havers series.

Keep us posted, and God bless.

Mickey
hi amy...just checking in on you...let me know how you're doing (and if you ever finished Venetian!).

kathy
Amy,
I miss seeing you on the boards. I know you were suppose to go into the hospital. Hopefully, all is well with that. I also hear you are engaged. Congratulations. I continue to pray for you and healing and less pain. Let me know how you are doing.
Blessings,
Mickey
Amy,

My cell phone is dead at the moment. I have to get a new plan and SOON! So I'll give you the number when I get it...probably today or tomorrow I'm thinking.

Look in your past comments to find my address. :-)
Oh, absolutely. Join in!

Abby
Star,

It's "buy your friend a book" week, right? Can I have your address to send you that book? ;-)
Star, do you have this book?

Hey Star!
I did get the download Crystal Rain from Tor. I will check out those magazines at fictionwise later on today. Thanks for the intel. :)

Bill
Hey Star!
I hope things are going well and that your pain is getting better. Thank you for sending me the info on getting the free books from Whiskey Creek. I got the first one and will check back later for the others. Oh and thanks for your nice note. I believe that you should help people out every once in a while just because...well just because you want to. Eventually I hope the human race learns that we are all in this together and things will be infinitely better for everyone if we work together instead of fighting one another.

Ok enough philosophizing, don't wanna bore you with that stuff. Have a great day Star!

Your friend,
Bill
I saw your post about being disappointed about not getting an ER book, and I just wanted to say that I can definitely understand how you're feeling! There were at least 5 batches in a row when I got nothing, but just don't give up hope, and your time will come!
Amy,

Sending a PDF to Amazon for conversion should work fine. I prefer to do it myself cuz, well.... it's kind of the nerd equivalent of baking a cake from scratch instead of from a mix!

Garry
Amy,
Catherine Coulter writes both historical romance and now has the FBI series. I started reading her romance novels a long time ago, but I must say I much prefer her FBI series. There are at least two plot lines going on, they are very fast paced. I have read all of them so far, and each one is just as good as the last one. The first one had Savich and Sherlock, both FBI agents, meeting each other. They are now married with a young son. I think you might enjoy them. "Eleventh Hour", the one before this one is on Kindle. I don't know about the rest of the series, but if you are interested, I'll check them out. Try a sample of one and let me know. Hope this finds you feeling better.

I have to finish my chapter 5 this weekend, so need to get back to that. Was just taking a break.

Hope this finds you feeling a lot better. You are such a blessing to each of us. Have a great weekend.

Mickey
Star,
I just finished Book of the Dead. It was OK and definately not a page turner. It was easy for me to put down and do the writing I needed to do. I will try another of her earlier books before I make a final decision as to whether I want to take her off my list for a while. I just started Blindside by Catherine Coulter. It's part of FBI series, and I am having a hard time putting that one down, but I must in order to finish my writing. With that said, I must get back to the writing. I have to have Chapters 4 and 5 completed by next Monday.

Hope this finds you feeling well. I pray for you and your health daily.

Blessings,
Mickey
