Thank you for your comments.
I received email message from a direct descendent of the main topic from my book, Captain Otway Burns And His Ship Snap Dragon. The newest located D/D is from this War of 1812 privateer's brother and this is the first contact of any kind between the two family Geneologists.
I am glad that this intriquing book about an interesting, but contriversal southeastern North Carolina (USA) individual has helped to relocate long lost direct descendents and assisted in preserving a vital part of our heritage.
Alan, and to all,
I will write soon.
With respect,
Jack Robinson
