About me I'm a dark fiction writer (Horror/Suspense/Dark Fantasy). I live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada with my wife, our Greyhound and our two cats. I've written over 400 poems, hundreds of film and book reviews, and several short stories. I finished the manuscript to my second novel last fall and a novella earlier this year. I'm about to start writing my third novel, a revenge thriller. Until then, I'm dabbling in short stories. I am currently editing a gothic horror anthology which will be released for Halloween 2008. It is called SINISTER LANDSCAPES.

BITTERNEST, my first novel, is about a detective who forms an uneasy alliance with a group of vampires during a pandemic of influenza to prevent a powerful entity from enslaving the fog-shrouded city of Bitternest. It's available everywhere online. For more info about BITTERNEST or to read the first chapter, visit my website at www.alandraven.com

Can't wait for Sinister Landscapes. I'm one of the publishing industry *myths* - a reader who loves short stories! Especially creepy gothic ones.
