About meI love books: the covers, the weight, the paper, the smell. I don't think I will every use Kindle(even if I COULD afford it).

Favorite bookstore: The Tattered Cover, Denver, Colorado. I need a keeper when I go in there because I lose track of time and spend WAY too much money.

About my libraryI try to use the public library, but when it comes to books, I'm greedy. I WANT I WANT. I reread favorites such as Pride and Prejudice - it's like visiting old friends.

Noticed you liked White Oleander, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more before you commit:

Oh, are you another April? I am! Was born in the middle of the month, as well (tax day!) ^___^
Sorry... was off reading instead of checking here! I read the first book of Flewelling's Bone Doll trilogy, but didn't care as much for it as her Shadows books. It was a little too dark and grim for me (strange, I can read some very dark and gritty books, but I think I need certain things to make me stick with it--usually characters I'm attached enough to... I didn't really care enough about the characters in the Bone Doll books, I think).
Heh, fantasy and historical romance go hand in hand according to me :-) But no, probably not the most usual combination...
