About meHello everyone, I’m Amber. I like to think of myself as cool, calm and sane (most of the time) but from what my friends have told me that couldn’t be farther from the truth. As some of the people who know me already know, I used to be a writer for a couple crafts magazines. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to write professionally for myself. Although writing is very close to my heart I am a craft enthusiast! I love crafts of all COLOURS, shapes and sizes. It’s some what of a tradition for the women in my family to make clothes and presents for friends and family but, skipped a generation before me. A lot of the gifts I was given from my grandmother I still have hidden away somewhere.
As a child I was always a fiddler, when ever I got something new I had to open it up and find out how it was made, like I did with a lot of my grandmother’s jumpers she made… I always wanted to put it back together again of course.
Because I just couldn’t keep myself from finding out how to pull things apart and put them back together again I felt a very strong pull towards crafts and I guess I was always a natural as well. Following my love for the crafts and teaching them to others would also be another goal I’d like to accomplish.
Now with the experience I have as a writer I am going to be writing my own book on crochet (my true love), stay tuned for that guys.
Recently because of my writing I have left no time in my day for crocheting, (which is going to change very soon :) I really need to get back into my crocheting.
Although I have accomplished a lot of my childhood goals, it’s good that I still have a few goals that I want to accomplish. Apart from the really crazy dreams like sky diving and climbing Mount Everest I want to dedicate my life to the more important things in life like helping others and doing what I love.
