About meI graduated from the University of Illinois in 2007 with a B.A. in English Literature and a minor in Information Technology. I love to read literature as well as write poetry and narratives. I have been playing the violin for sixteen years, and music is my second passion, right behind books of course! I enjoy all different types artistic expression; theater, dance, music, and art. In my spare time (when I am not reading) I am usually at the gym, shopping, hanging out with friends, procrastinating, being sarcastic, pondering life's meaning, and living life to the fullest.

About my libraryMost of the books on my bookshelf are classic works of fiction. I won't dismiss a novel written by a contemporary or modern day writer, as long as it is written well and with class. Likewise, although I prefer fiction, I am very open to all different genres of literature. My definition of a good book is one that is original, draws the reader in, and explores human emotion, all while making me want reread it time and again. Some of my favorite books on my bookshelf are the ones that cause me to question my life and look deeper at who I am as a person, therefore rendering them priceless.
