About meI live in Nova Scotia, Canada, a beautiful spot but only if you are prepared for all types of weather at any time. I'm a country girl, raised on a farm and still a huge animal lover. I love all genres of books and worked with kids for years in both elementary and high school settings, with both gifted and special needs children so love to find things that would interest kids as well. Had ovarian cancer when I was young, 6 years ago, which sucked but I kicked it's ass!

About my libraryAs you can see as I add more and more books to my library, I read ALL genres. I love learning new things and the more useless the facts, the better! I love reviewing books and reading reviews as that is what often leads me to reading a certain book.

Howdy! Thanks for hitting me up on LibraryThing here.

What can I do for you? :)
Hi!
Snow up to the knees? Sounds awful so I'll stop moaning about the cold here...
Hoping the code has arrived and that you enjoy 'Chickens'. It's just a gift so don't worry about a review unless you want to,
Victoria :)
Thanks for friend request. :-) Best wishes.

Hello Ani36ol,

Thanks so much for entering the Giveaway and I'm delighted you have won a free download of 'Chickens, Mules and Two Old Fools'. I've been given your email address and will send you the download instructions shortly. I really hope you enjoy reading 'Chickens' as much as I enjoyed writing it.

A review is not necessary, but if you have any comments, I'd love to hear them! My email address is TopHen @ VictoriaTwead.com

Hoping the weather is not too cold where you are. (We live up a Spanish mountain and it's freezing, though no snow yet, touch wood…)

Victoria :)
I'll get a copy of The Seer: Through the Dark Zone to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest! (And a review, if you think it's tolerable, on Amazon would be nice.)

Best,
j

Congratulations – you won a copy of my first eBook 'Missing Mandy' as a Member Giveaway. I would shortly email a coupon to you so you can download your free copy in the format of your choice.

Happy Reading!

Thank you for signing up for the giveaway of my new kids' book, The Exotics Book 1: The Floating Menagerie (under pseudonym De Kenyon). I just sent an email asking for your format preference--let me know if didn't get it! Thanks, DeAnna
Haha...I'm kind of glad to hear it. I'm not even sure what chick lit really is! I tend to read mostly fantasy or classics myself. :)
One is, but the other's so-so. It wouldn't bother me (as much-lol) if it was an honest and informed rating; I know not everyone id going to like it. But I suspect the so-so person is rating on bookcovers alone or something. Oh well. I'm extremely happy to hear your husband not only read it, but enjoyed it! That has made my day! I've only had one other guy read it and he "appreciated" it but it's not his type of book. I'd been wondering if it was only chick lit, though I really tried to write with guys in mind too. Thanks so much for the encouragement, and yes, I'm writing!
And thank you for posting at Goodreads! It all helps! (Especially when there are people rating my book who haven't even read it! Oh well.)
Thank you so much Francine! I really appreciate your reading and reviewing Bronze, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Have a wonderful New Year and keep in touch please :)
Thanks for the friend request!

Hi Francine,

Apologies for not commenting when I accepted your friend request, but I was in the middle of sending out responses to my Deadly Straits giveaway. I trust yours came through OK?

I'm new to LT, so I may need some help from time to time learning the ropes.

Thanks again for the friend request.

Best Regards,

Bob
You're welcome. Enjoy!

Hi Francine,

It's interesting coincidence . . . My latest series, Rogues of Bindar, was inspired by settings from Nova Scotia (at Tatamagouche!). (Wolf's-Head Rogues of Bindar Book I)

cheers,

Hi Francine,

Thank you for your review of the “Woodcliff Anthology.”

If you are interested in knowing a bit more about the anthology, I have an interview on the concepts behind it at http://www.tenparinc.com/d-a-blankinship/blankinship-interviews.htm#bop_wa. One of the reviewers (SusanBarnard) referenced this interview, so I thought I would pass it on to everyone who has posted a review on LibraryThing.

Thanks,
Dave

The order was successful this time. Your book should be on its way soon.
Hi Francine, thank you for being my friend. :)
Hi Francine,
No apologies necessary--for either assistance or review. I am looking forward to your impressions! Thanks for following up. Take care,
Hayley
Francine,
Following up my last comment, I finally figured it all out. Thanks for being there.
Hi Francine,
As a newbie to LT, I have tried--and failed--to do several things. Help is no help. So, after investing days and days, I am turning to you, my LT friend, for help. If it's not too much trouble, can you help me:

1) Locate reviews of my novel? I did a Free Member Giveaway a month ago, and have seen only one review to date. Help tells me reviews appear on the "main work page," but I can't find a tab with this label. Do they mean Home, Profile, and some other page? Help then tells me Member Reviews appear in left column, but I can't find a column named that on ANY page.

2) When I try to enter Fav Authors, Currently Reading, and Your Books, I get rerouted through dozens of pages, none of which let me enter any info.

Thanks for any light you may be able to shed. I give up.
Hayley
Hi Francine,
You're too kind!
Hi Francine,
You're the first person on this site to friend me, which makes your invitation all the more welcome. Thanks!
Hayley Kelsey
Hi Francine--
Thanks for adding me as a friend on Library Thing. Very good-looking cat!
Congratulations on winning a copy of Mental Shrillness! Please check the email address associated with your Library Thing account for the Smashwords coupon to download a complimentary copy.

Horrifically Yours,
Todd Russell
Thanks for friending me Ani. Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I've been on vacation. Always nice to meet fellow Canadians.

Happy reading! Sharon
Thanks for friending me - I hope you enjoyed Matchmakers 2.0. I miss Nova Scotia (lived there for a year, and I was very sad to go). Debora
Not sure if you remember me or not, but you reviewed my novel, Dirty Little
Angels, a while back. I'm writing because I'm almost done with my new novel, In
the Valley of Falling Stars, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in
taking a look at it and giving me your opinion. I can send you a complete
summary, but it's essentially about a mentally-ill man living in post-Katrina
New Orleans who becomes convinced that his wife is pregnant with Jesus Christ.
The book is still in process, but the entire book is sketched out, and I
currently have eight chapters that I feel are done. If you're too busy, I
understand. Just thought I'd ask.

Hope you're doing well,

Chris
Glad to help. I hope you enjoy the books!
Thanks, Francine! I've posted a ton of chess puzzles at wtharvey.com, usually indexed by grandmaster, but are random in nature by the winning tactic. To use a legal term, there's a preponderance of certain tactics among certain chess openings. There's plenty of evidence but it's food for thought anyhow. Enjoy! Bill
Francine,

My heart goes out to you and all those who battle cancer. Too bad all the money and energy that goes toward war and terrorism couldn't be put into medical research.

Looking at your profile--I'm a quarter Polish on my mother's side. She grew up in Greenpoint Brooklyn, which is where all the Poles settle in when they emigrant here. See this post for some pics -- http://baldpunk.com/2009/09/15/greenpoint-brooklyn/

BTW, find a better book than one of mine to take your mind off things!

Joe
Thanks Ani! I have a slight delay in sending out Murder in Sarasota due to a technical LibraryThing problem, but it's coming soon!
Thanks for checking out Dismember. I've been very happy with the feedback I've gotten so far. If you end up reading it, I'd love to hear what you think.

Take care.

Dan
Congratulations on winning an e-book!

I've emailed your PDF of Prophecy of the Flame, Book One. Please let me know if there are any issues in viewing it. I'm looking forward to your review!

Lynn Hardy
Hi Francine -

If you are still interested in the HobNob giveaway of Twilight's Ashes, send me a private message with your address. I'd love to have you review and critique it.

Pete (aka Auler Ivis)
Hello!

Just wanted to confirm that you are one of the LibraryThing Giveaway Winners! We will be sending out your copy of The Village by T F Rhoden on 30 Dec 2010.

We look forward to your review here on LibraryThing and on Amazon.

Happy Holidays,
TFR
Very nice. Well, it should be there by now. Good luck with the adventures of Mr. Pierce Williams.
Francine, I've very sorry to hear about your accident. I hope you're taking care of yourself.

First part of my first novel? Well, I'm pretty sure you won the entire thing, but I'll send you the digital file just in case. Did you win a paperback copy of the book?
I am very sorry to hear about your kitten. As for the MBA, I recently read the book Automatic Wealth for Graduates, which was pretty good, but also, just a lot of common sense. Still, though everything in the book is reasonable, I'll doubt I'll but the energy into actually following the ideas.
HI,
I won Katie Up and Down the Stairs by Glen Plaskin, Once Wicked Always Dead by T. Marie Benchley Thrilled to Death by L.J. Sellars, Ethan and the Web of Lies by Dan Ryan, and Fleshwound by Jon Say. However, my computer crashed and I lost everything.I am up and running now so if there is some way to receive anything I missed I would love to be able to review these books or anything else I missed.

Thanks,
Francine
Sorry to hear about the Hurricane. Hope everyone is alright. Still considering writing the Franken-Twilight book--that or I'll go to business school.
Hmmm...I'll put some serious consideration into it. Usually, it takes me two years or longer to write a book. This one might take less than a year, but it's still quite a commitment to something that's essentially a middle finger to Twilight. Hmmm...
Actually, I was playing around with my sister, and I said there should be a book called Franken-Twilight about a nerdy boy who puts himself together a new body in order to get the girl of his dreams. Most conspicuous is his big member...the book won't mention it directly, but rather insinuate its size.

There should also be another monster that competes for the girl's love. Perhaps the mummy, or a hunchback or something.

That's all I've got so far. I'll keep working on this idea as a way of avoiding doing real work.
Arghhh! I want to snag something!lol
