I work for an group of economic policy consultants in a nice office up the 'Paris end' of Collins Street in Melbourne, and manage to get away with being there four days a week. I skip out the door on Thursday night to blissfully forget all matters knowledge related and look forward to a long weekend playing golf, gardening with my assistant - Harry the Spoodle, hanging out at the markets in search of perfect coffee with my similarly addicted husband Simon, and generally harassing and enjoying my two teenage kids Chris and Laura. About my libraryAhh - well- it's not really my library, a lot of it belongs to the Yarra Plenty Regional Library (my local). I gave up buying books - except on rare occasions - about 7 years ago. when my oldest child started high school at Carey. (Wicked fees). Besides in these days of preserving resources there is something very virtuous about sharing a book with hundreds of other people. GroupsBookCrossing Australia! I trained as a librarian myself many years ago though never actually followed that path as a career.
Happy reading

Hi
Just was looking at similar libraries to mine and came across yours.
Although, there are a few that you've read that are still on my Mount TBR.
Over at the Girlybooks Group a few of us have been reading from the Orange Prize list during July and I noticed that you've given 4 stars to one of the long-listed "Burnt Shadows" that's one that I've been interested in. Too many books too little time seems to be my current catch-cry :-)
Anyway, hope you continue to enjoy Librarything.
Cheers
