About meI'm a retired librarian and I readreadread all the time. I also write novels (unappreciated, unpublished) and am working on one now for which I have great hope! I currently am in love with Sebastian Barry for his nearly perfect writing. Brian Morton is a favorite, too. I read everything -- but much less non-fiction -- except romances. Not much on fantasy or science fiction -- tho I love Margret Atwood.

About my libraryMy REAL library is huge -- bookcases and bookcases -- but I started this by adding only the books I'm reading now -- that is, since the turn of 2009 -- in order to keep track of what I'm reading.

Glad you liked it. It sure was although the suicide element didn't strike me as hard. I see you have Asylum in your library. If you haven't read it, give it a go; it's better than Constance. Pretty much the rest of his output is better. Ah well, no one's perfect.
My thought, exactly! Glad you enjoyed my review.
I just read your review of Dead Anyway and wanted to tell you that I sent an e-mail to the publisher about the Chris/Christ mixup. Of course, I wonder how anyone let that go out in the first place.
Yes, I remember those times all too well! It's happened to me at least twice before - no notice at all, then I eventually learned I had won a book. I've also had a friend who missed getting a "sorry, don't despair" notice when part of the alphabet was skipped.

I emailed Jeremy, but it may be a while before this gets addressed. I think he's en route to ALA Midwinter today.

Hope you have success with the January batch!
Hi Anne -- glad you enjoyed my funny -- everyone seemed so serious on that thread!!!!!

I hope you get the bug to put in your library sometime. I'm so ocd I have kept lists of books I've read since, well, too long to reveal, so my library except as noted is all books I have actually read.... it's been very helpful too for realizing what books need to be revisited.
"If You Follow Me" is on my 'to be read' list. Haven't gotten to it yet, but am hoping to soon. I'm not trying for any Early Review books this month, thinking maybe I can get caught up a little with things already on my list - though getting "caught up" is really just a pipe dream, isn't it. -jbvm
Had to drop you a note -- looks like you and I are in the very small minority of Early Reviewers who were underwhelmed by "All is Forgotten, Nothing is Lost". To be honest, I'm surprised by the number of positive responses. But just wanted to tell you I loved your last sentence! -jbvm
i haven't started wolf hall yet. just checked it out from the library. wanted to make sure i could get into it before i purchased it!! hope i enjoy it as much as everyone else did!
