About my libraryOur respective libraries are going through a gradual process of assimilation.

It is not going to be a painless transition. Sam's books are plotting to violently purge JK Rowling and Patricia Cornwell; Jacq's French-language shelves can't abide the thought of reading Sartre in translation, and insist that such abominations inhabit a separate bookshelf. The situation can only become more strained as populations rise.

It seems you and I are the only peeps on the planet with a copy of Everybody's Book of Facts. I bought mine at a jumble sale in 1967 for a shilling. Even then my dad commented "What do you want that old rubbish for?"

forty years later I've still got it, alongside a whole lot more old rubbish!
