About meSt. John's College, New Mexico, 2012. It's "the Great Books school", and I expect to end up with a lot of them.

About my libraryFight ratings inflation! It's not as bad here as on Amazon, but there are more 5 star ratings than 1, more 4 than 2.

I try to curve my ratings to a normal distribution (bell curve). You can check my stats (http://www.librarything.com/profile/Auda...) to see how I'm doing.

Anything I rate 2 stars or above is worth reading.

Noticed you liked Clockwork Orange, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a group of violent kids (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Thanks for stopping by my profile--and especially thanks for the citation for my quote. I'm away from home right now so I couldn't look it up. I'll go correct it. I knew it was somebody I'd read a long time ago--didn't realize it was that long ago! ;-)

I like your comment about the ratings. I probably should wait a week before I rate book because often if I rate it right away it will be based more on feelings rather than merit. Although, if I rate a book 2 stars I considered it pretty much a waste of time, 1 star I probably threw it across the room--or didn't finish it (which almost never happens) and 1/2 star means it's a candidate for burning--something I am normally completely opposed to. :-D
