About meThe first thing I saved money for was a book about cats. I was eight or nine years old. This was also my first hardcover and coffee table sized book. I still own it. Reading was my escape growing up and is still my favorite passtime.

About my libraryMy library contains books I have been given, have collected, or have obtained from lost and found where I work - always a great source of books I would not otherwise have thought to read - and books I buy mostly through Amazon.com or Bridge Street Books in Washington DC. I am rapdily running out of space in our small house for books, so a large pile is currently stacked on the dining room table waiting for me to find them a home. I am also trying to figure out how to decorate with books! I need bigger coffee tables........
