About meBill Cameron's lastest book is CHASING SMOKE, the story of a cop at the end of his rope, investigating the deaths of a group of disparate men with whom he has one grim thing in common, the doctor treating his cancer. CHASING SMOKE received a starred review from Library Journal.
Bill lives with his wife and a menagerie of critters in Portland, Oregon. His stories have appeared in Spinetingler, The Dunes Review, and in KILLER YEAR, edited by Lee Child. His story "Counterflow" was recently featured on Lit 103.3: Fiction for the Ears. His story "Coffee, Black" will appear in the forthcoming PORTLAND NOIR from Akashic Books, edited by Kevin Sampsell.
LOST DOG, his debut suspense novel, was nominated for the 2008 Rocky Award and was a finalist for the 2008 Spotted Owl Award. He is currently at work on his third novel.

Love yourself and be awake -
today, tomorrow, always.
First establish yourself in the way,
then teach others,
and so defeat sorrow.
To straighten the crooked
you must first do a harder thing -
straighten yourself.
You are the only master. Who else?
Subdue yourself,
and discover your master.
