About meThis collection exists as a community library in Barnardsville, NC, USA (20 miles NE of Asheville). The region is known colloquially as "Big Ivy". We are housed in one small room of the Community Center, seen in this photograph, and are maintained by a group of volunteers. We are open six hours a week and exist because the nearest public library branch is 10 to 15 miles from most of our homes.

About my libraryOur collection is diverse, with concentrations in children's books and Southern Appalachian fiction, and includes general fiction, mysteries, nonfiction, biography, history and travel, parenting, and contemporary issues.

One of our volunteers established this account; it is under development and will continue to change.
