My sister and I have almost managed to train our parents to not pester us about the job hunt (my sister is working, but would like a better job, not likely to happen soon in this economy sadly) but my mom always seems to bring it up right after I've gone through everything and failed again to find anything. It's maddening.

Its just nice to see someone talk about cricket on LT, lol, I'm not really into sports, but i do love my cricket :) & I'm not overly patriotic so we can still be friendly, if its a good game I'm still happy even if we Ausies dont win, in fact I got really sick of us winning all the time when we were on our streak not that long ago, & although its been annoying to see us play badly, at least cricket's been more interesting the last few years :) I dont tend to see much of what happens overseas tho, so feel free to send me updates - even if its just to brag, lol :)
Thanx for the offer on the bathroom, but all is included in the contract price, the only thing in the bathroom I've had to pay extra for are the decorative tiles. When I went to make my colour selections, all the plain floor & wall tiles are included in the builders range, but I'll have to pay extra for the border/trim (i'm not sure exactly what they're called) which I though was a bit odd - I wouldn't have thought people usually do their bathrooms in all plain tiles? I guess its just annother way for the builders to make money *shrug* - But thanx anyway :)

And yes, the sound is typical of the band...and the lyrics too, they're almost never happy lyrics. Bright Eyes is a band for melancholic (depressing?) moments. Or at least was. Now the singer's gone all "New Age" on his last album and envisions himself as a prophet of sorts. Long story, long story.
A very famous ballad of their is called "First Day of My Life" and has a very nice video too, which you can see here if you're interested:

And no, you weren't rude. I replied to your question in said thread - message 43. Forget what they tell you about the cat, curiosity is a good thing :)

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
