Like your "handle." I am assuming it is taken from that wonderful book and movie, "Fried Green Tomatoes"?
Best,

We have suffered a wet summer so far, but the sun has been out for a few days and there has been a plethora of bees and butterflies in our garden. I planted oregano a few years ago which self seeds everywhere. The bees love it and I often wonder what the honey would be like! My husband has just retired so we are hoping to take a course on bee keeping. I will be looking for tips and advice!!! How has the summer been with you? I have a friend in Boston,MA and she said it had been a wash out in the early part of the season....three months of solid rain. We visited Boston last July and had a wonderful time. I have a rare auto immune disease and have made many friends in the USA where there is a wonderful support group. It is the one and only good thing about having this wretched condition!
Take care and I hope you enjoy the Kate Atkinson...I did...I like her writing.

How are you doing with the JCO book now? Guess you have to get your mind inside a disturbed child/young man to appreciate it fully. I am reading Mother Missing by JCO right now......it may be called Missing Mom over in the USA.
I am fascinated by bees and we have many in our garden. We have planted flowers and shrubs which attract bees and butterflies. There was an item on the local news last night about how beekeepers have been asked to keep some of their hives upo on the Yorkshire Moors to encourage the heather growth. Beekeepers are volunteering their time to tend to the hives etc. Heather makes wonderful honey! We eat honey every day as I belive in it's calming and anti inflammatory properties. Do you sell your honey or keep it for family?
Take care and chat soon

We seem to share a similar taste in novels don't we? I haven't joined in any of the chats yet...not enough time. Oh you are right about finding books you want to read on LT....so many books..not enough time for that either!
Have you bought the new Karin Slaughter yet?
I have just finished a Joyce Carol Oates book...My Sister, My Love.....it was brilliant. Very close to the sad story of JonBenet Ramsey and I was totally gripped by it.

Very very good book again by Karin Slaughter. I honestly think she is the best in her field and makes you feel she hasn't just "churned out" another novel like some authors appear to. Her characters feel very real and you care about them...especially Sara Linton. You will enjoy it I am sure....sorry I don't know your first name! I know what you mean about the reviews giving the game away...I make a point of not describing novels too much....why people do I don't really understand.
Take care

My map will automatically register when some one visits my profile
It recorded you as Indianapolis, IN around 2pm it doesn't give your name :(
so I never know who it is unless they say hello like you did :)
I see your a beekeeper... My Aunt in upstate NY just started beekeeping not sure how many hives she has~ Sounds like interesting work but would be potentially dangerous for me I think (allergic to stings)
I see your a fairly new kid on the block... (like me) I hope you enjoy LT (library thing)... just a warning it can become addicting :)
If there is anything I can help you with or suggest any good groups or books don't hesitate to ask...
thanks for stopping by, your my first unknown visitor that has said Hello
Kara :)
