About meI read a LOT! I work full time, but my kids are all grown and moved out, so I read about 80% of the time I am not working or sleeping. The picture is of my little Maltese who is my constant reading companion.

About my libraryI have always wished I kept a list of all the books I've read because I frequently check out a book from the library, get started into it and realize it all sounds VERY familiar! Anyway, I have not really kept a list, although I started one a few years ago, but only kept up with it about a short while. I also make lists of books I want to request from the library and from those lists I check off what I have read. If I can find those, I will add those to my list of read books. I currently have a new running list of "need to read" books. When time permits I will add those. I am so very behind in cataloging the books I have read that I am going to start out with only the ones I would give a highest or lowest rating to.

Noticed you liked The Glass Castle, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a dysfunctional family (and also a bit dark). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

Thanks so much for your review of Last Night in Montreal -- I'm glad you liked it, and I really appreciate the great review and all those stars.
BinnieBee, thanks so much for the supportive comment -- I was totally bummed out by that review, but reviews like yours mean so much more to me than a "critic's" review. Now I've got to browse your library and see what you recommend -- I've got a few long train trips to take soon, and nothing to read! :)
I read your review of "Before I Wake." Wow. That's *exactly* what I thought of the book! I was going to do my own review, but now I'm glad I didn't, because I don't want to restate things.
Great to hear! BLACK OUT will be hitting the stores in May, 2008.
Hi BinnieBee,

Nice to meet you. I am so glad you enjoyed BEAUTIFUL LIES and hope you like the rest of the journey in SLIVER OF TRUTH! Looking forward to checking out your library and I hope you enjoy mine.

All the best,
Lisa
Hi future reviewer (and sorry for the late response :-),

You can sign up for Early Reviewers here! After that be sure to request advance copies from the list -- we will be releasing a big batch today or tomorrow -- stay tuned. More at my blog post and the Early Reviewers Group.

Take care,
Tim

FYI: we only ship to American and Canadian mailing addresses at the moment -- logistical and legal stuff, unfortunately -- but this may change at some point.
Hi Binnie -- thanks for your comment -- I'm new to this whole thing, too, but so far I'm loving it! What a great idea to have all your books cataloged and in one place AND be able to see others' lists... I've become obsessed with it!! I'm still learning my way around this site, and I need to just sit in front of my bookshelves and enter all the titles... little by little. My son is going away to college in September, so I will have a lot of time then --something to keep my mind occupied. I work 40 hours a week as well, but whenever I have a free minute, I'm reading. I noticed that you read THE WORLD TO COME by Dara Horn -- that's on my list of books to get, but I see you only gave it 2 1/2 stars -- would you recommend that or no?
