About meI am not, as the picture suggests, Jane Austen. But she is my favorite classical author along with Shakespeare. I just started assembling an old-fashioned-looking collection of her works - you know, the cloth-bound, gold-lettered, slightly musty and falling apart type. Hopefully, film studios will keep making films based on her books, as I live for those Jane Austen movie nights!

About my libraryMy library is disproportionately made up of kids' books, not because I have any kids but because for some reason I tend to buy the kids' books I want to read and get the adult books from the library. Maybe its because the kids' books are fun and I like to reread them, or because I can't wait for the library to get the latest in the series... who knows! At any rate, after going through a lit. major phase of reading only very pretentious books by dead authors, I've come to see the value of books for the sake of entertainment - huzzah!

In addition to Jane, above, I am also collecting books by Patricia Coombs, any and all titles, any and all editions. These were my favorite children's books when I was actually a child.
