About meI'm a professor at Vanguard University in Orange County, CA. I also own a consulting business called Innovate Learning.

About my librarySince a very young age, I have loved books. A family outing for us was to visit a bookstore and we would have one hour to choose as many books as we wanted. My collection is full of all sorts of topics, though I'm slowly trying to be better about checking out fiction from the library and only purchasing non-fiction books. That's the theory, anyway... Let's just not ask how well it has been working in practice.

Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Ha! Visiting a bookstore is still the favorite outing in our traveling at home and away...that and finding a local labyrinth to walk if possible.
I have always assumed I would retire in a smallish town and sell off all our books---there would be a coffee corner and deep reading chairs in this bookstore. :)
