About meI am 22 years old and because of my mom I love to read. Proud to be Baltimore, Maryland born and raised.
I currently attend AACC in pursuit of my Bachelors in Forensic Science. The kid in me still wants to fight crime.
My attempt at vegetarianism was a short stint. It's hard when your favorite food is chicken.
I am a huge Harry Potter nerd and a Star Trek geek. I prefer to read Fantasy, science fiction, and murder mystery but I'm also open to anything...but biographies.
I would say I have a very open mind, and I wear my heart on my sleeve. Currently I have 3 tattoos but I will be adding to the number very shortly.
I'm a huge movie buff. The only thing better than curing up with a good book is going to the theater.
Television has managed to suck me in as well and I like to watch Fringe, The Office, House, Legend of the Seeker, Merlin and re-runs of Star Trek: The Original Series and Jericho!

Hahaha. Such a comedian! Now, everytime I see one of those bumper stickers I will think of Jamie :)
I'm 5 chapters in...have it right here on my desk so I am bringing it home tonight to start again.
I can taste that steak now. mmmmmmmmmm
You know, it's weird. Every time I read a book I think..nothing can top this. And wow. Jace comes along.

Edward who?
hehehe

I did accept....and since you showed up on my friends list, I deleted that message. If I am showing up on your friends list..just delete the message that says still pending. Worse comes to worse we will delete each other as friends and then re add.
Don't know. You are on my friends list. Just delete it and see what happens.
xo
Try "House of Leaves" I heard its super scary. :)
just replied to your question about Heart-Shaped Box in the Horror Recommendations thread. I apologize for being so late with a reply.

I enjoyed Heart-Shaped Box very much. It is about a dead man's suit, but there is much more going on than that. There are relationship issues, past family issues that refuse to go away, and a ghost thrown in to make everything really interesting! It was a great scary read. Let me know what you think if you decide to read it.
Cool. Take a book, get it signed. Sounds like fun.
Doesn't matter who reads 50 books first. I told you, I win. Even if I end up having to pay for dinner, I win because I get to have dinner with YOU!

PS I know I will read 50 before you. You are very busy with work and school and I have nothing else to do now but read.
The first book in the vampire series is ok but the second and the third were really good. I didn't think I would like them but I was pleasantly surprised
Have you been scared yet?????
Hey, when you start reading your Early Reviewer book and add it to your list on your profile, next to the CR add Early Reviewer. Also when you tag your books, add ER or Early reviewer to that too.
:)

Thanks, Calyn! I'll keep my eyes peeled for it and stay away from long books so I can read it sooner once it arrives. Hopefully it will be a good book and we both realy like it! Happy reading. :)
That's a pretty good length for a book! I have to admit that I've read some shorter books while trying to complete book challenges, too. Last year was my first year of having a book challenge and I had been nervous about completing it. I think I only read two long books for it that were around seven-hundred pages. Both were hardcover - I hate paperback for longer books! I worry about the book spines. ;) I ended the year with maybe fifty-nine books read out of my goal of fifty-two last year, so that had been nice. Good luck with your competition! I see you've recently cataloged To Kill a Mockingbird. I hope you enjoy it!
OK, I didn't hate Twilight. I hate that I had Cedric Diggory stuck in my head the whole way, but I did like the book. Yes, I will read book 2. :)
Oh, I used to watch the CW! I was a WB fan. It was hard to keep up with tv shows when I would work late some nights so I mostly gave up tv.

It must have been exciting to learn you can read books Legends of the Seeker is based from! It sounds like you think the actors on the show can do better. I hope the books satisfy you much more! $5 for two books is a great price! Used bookstore finds are fantastic.

How thick are the books? Are they longer than the later Harry Potter books?

Happy reading!
my email isnt working so you cant email sorry.
oh and do you know where many bloody returns comes in to the sookie stackhouse series?
well thats wierd well okay im going to be reading from like 7 to 11 tonight so i wont be on after that time.try emailing me to see if it works.

i love bill and sookie to by the way i emailed you if you get the chance to reply.cant wait to read the next book.
hey unfortunatley im only on the second book thats why i havent rated the others yet but i have seven and am curently reading like mad my teacher beat me with 5 sookie stackhouse books in one weekend.
I guess congratulations are in order for your first ER book! :)

You're welcome. I've never heard of The Sword of Truth books. What are they about? I can't imagine a book larger than my seven-year-old cat (13 pounds), but larger than the kittens...most definitely! Those things just seem to stay small like little dolls at ten months.

Ah, it seems like you someone impressed me with the book enough that I decided to get it. I have yet to read it, though. It does seem to come well recommended in the Hogwarts Express group. Members there best control which books come into my home. If only we could read them as fast as they arrive! I'm worried how long it may be before I get to it but we always intend to read them at some point, even in the near future.
Hi, Calyn. I haven't received a copy of the book yet. Are you expecting the same book as well?

Good luck to you and MDLady with your book challenge! :)
thanks for the comment , i have seen the show and love it but i agree the book is better.
nice books i read sookie stackhouse to.
How many pages does a book have to be for our challenge? You decide.
Have I told you lately that you are AWESOME!?!

:D
Happy to help. Hope you enjoy them.
Glad I could help, Calyn. :) Love the Harry Potter avatar, btw. Very cute. And it's great to see another veggie around here (I'm vegan). Happy reading!
Glad to have you here baby. You should take a minute or two to look at some of the chat topics and post. It'll be fun!
