About meI'm middle-aged, married, and 5 times a grandfather. Books have been my friends, my retreats, my confidants, my teachers, and my comforters all my life. I wouldn't recognize myself without one (and neither would anyone I know!).

About my libraryIt's extensive (tho some folks' here on LT make mine look paltry by comparison!). I prefer to own books that I enjoy, preferably in hardback so they'll last longer. I often share & recommend items from my library to friends & family. I also spread some of them around thru BookCrossing.com. I recently learned about this site, and thought it a good place to start cataloging my volumes.

Noticed that you liked The Heart is a Lonely Hunter, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). I thought you might like my novel since it's been compared to that novel by a number of reviewers. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

When I saw that you owned Pigs on Parade, I guesed you must also be from the Puget Sound area. I'm a Seattlite. I'm envious of your library, I've only accumulated about 1/3 the number of books but I'm working on catching up with you! I noticed that you also read Christopher Moore, were you aware that he will be at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park on February 15th? I'm hoping to be able to attend, of course that is a bit of a longer jaunt for you.
Is your copy of Enter Laughing the play (by Joseph Stein) or the novel (by Carl Reiner)?

Some people have the play listed as Reiner and I'm trying to fix the listings.
You know you have more than one book with a 'Freas cover' (one of your tags). I am the only other LTer who uses that tag.
Hi BookDoc16.
Great job with your library! I have enjoyed going through it looking for reads. I also appreciated being able to sort your books according to their "starred" number rating. Ague
