About meNow that I’m retired I have so much more time for my favorite pastime, reading. I’ve been a fan of English historical fiction all my life. When I read The Other Boleyn Girl I was hooked on the time period of Henry VIII and read as much as I could until anything else I read was very repetitive. Then I read A Rose for the Crown by Anne Easter Smith and now I can’t get enough of Richard III. The Sunne in Splendour by Sharon Kay Penman (her books are so very well researched and written) is just wonderful if you have an interest in Richard III. I am a firm believer that Richard III was not the ogre that Shakespeare has made him out to be in his rendition of Richard.

I’m also enjoy books on reincarnation i.e. Green Darkness, science fiction/fantasy about magic and wizards with adult themes. I loved the Study books by Maria Snyder and the Dark Queen series by Susan Caroll. Kathleen McGowen is the author of The Expected One and The Book of Love both of which I simply adore.
