Hi! I was looking for some Nashville area people on here.
I started out as a music business major at Belmont, but I quickly bailed out, and stuck to my other love: books!

I love mysteries. When I was in 2nd grade, my mom would bribe me to read her old Nancy Drew books (she'd buy one of the books I was obsessed with at the time if I'd read a Nancy Drew book), and then I quickly got obsessed with them! I've been reading Agatha Christie books for the last 10 years, reading the same ones over and over. It's my guilty pleasure.

I just moved, and every time I think I've gotten all of my books put on the shelves, I find boxes that contain even more. It's insanity!
I too worked in the music distribution biz for 33 1/3 years. WEBB is very cool, I just saw him w/band just recently here in NashVille @ The Frist. The band was solid, his lead guitar very twangy. Are you aware that there is a complete Bukowski coming out, November 07: The Pleasures of the Damned: Poems, 1951-1993 EAN# 9780061228438 ECCO Press. If you're into CowPunk check out the Nov.21st show at the Cannery w/REV HORTON HEAT, NASHVILLE PUSSY, HANK III. Thanks from East East Nashville.
Hi
Just a quick note to say, many thanks for adding me to your list of 'Interesting Libraries'

Your mention of Thurber brought back a television blast from my childhood. If you paste the following address into your browser, you'll see what I mean. I tried to visit his home in Columnus, Ohio when I was there, but it was closed for the day (it would normally have been open) for some specific reason like new carpeting or staff training.
