Thank you so much for your latest comment on our page. I am hoping to continue to help him craft his voice in a meaningful way. Realizing that we are part of a larger community of readers has helped our conversations.
Thank you again for your feedback. Please feel free to comment on any other reviews. I would love another teacher's feedback for the students, although I am sure you're quite busy. Happy teaching!
All the best,
Marisa

Thank you for taking the time to post a comment on our page regarding our student's review of The Diary of Anne Frank. We just started using LibraryThing as a learning tool and a place for students to share their reviews of books in our library. Your comment became part of a conversation with all the students in the middle school about what reviews are for (to uplift the art form), how to express oneself with reverence, and how to respect the audience of readers. In my conversations with the specific student who posted the review, I have learned that in his experiences posting reviews on video game forum, he has noticed that offensive language is the norm. We have all also noticed that people get a lot of attention for posting something offensive, and that little or (so far no) outside comments are made for reviews that are not offensive. We are talking about how the purpose of the reviewer is to uplift literature itself and not to draw attention to the writer. However, if you have time to take a look at any of the other reviews on our page and give some positive feedback, that would be great.
Thanks again. Your contribution made a difference.
All the best,
Marisa
