About meLibrary assistant at a community college and full time grad student. Also currently laid off copy writer but I won't be returning to that porfession, as it is soul crushingly boring. Once I'm finished with my MFA from University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast Creative Writing program, I'll be heading to a yet-to-be-determined MLIS programs. Lobbying for your alma mater (or fervent warning against) are welcome.
Before the copy writing/ creative writing/ library-ing adventure began, I was an English teacher at Steven King's old high school in down & out, but still quite lovable, Lisbon, Maine.

About my libraryI gave everything a kind of "pared down" DDC number in the tags for easy glancing.

Other tags and their meanings:

***"YA" for anything for 4th-12th grade (basically chapter books)
***Pic for children's books or picture books
***I have also added tags regarding my "relationship" with the book:
-"Own" means I own it (obv).
-"Read" means I have read it but don't own it.
-"Borrowed" means I have borrowed it from someone/-where, but have not finished or started reading it
-"To read" means a book I heard about or saw that I want to read in the future
-"Maine" for anyone who has ties to Maine, since I do, too
-Many poetry books have been tagged with a reference to where I saw the poet read or how I know the poet

As a grad student, I am also using LibraryThing to help me organize my bibliography:

~SC bib is for every book I have used
~Res # - a book from a residency seminar
~Sem # - a book from a packet
~Sem # Influence - read during the semester but not officially noted in an annotation
~Faculty or graduating student name - their seminar
~[Title] Seminar - name of seminar that I read the book for
~"Title" - poem or section I read from book

That's about all for now.

You're super funny! No, my soon-to-be mother-in-law gave it to me... perhaps she feels that my bar tending skills aren't up to par.
You and I are the only two w/ "Cocktails for Dummies" in our libraries... I wonder what that says about us!
Thanks for the cover on that Coolidge book. I'm going to have to check out your library when the semester ends next week. Thanks for the add too!
Hi ... I've dropped my LT solitaire tags for Carr's Platinum Blonde ... nice of you to drop by.
I work in public library in Colorado and get a chance to read the trade magazines at work! I saw 'A Chant To Soothe Wild Elephants' in Publishers Weekly. I haven't read it yet either, but it is on 'the List'.
I've read the Stephanie Plum novels, but I don't own them for some reason.
Hey there B. I'm astonished by how many works you've uploaded and tagged since Feb 9. I always knew you to be industrious, but wow! And I'm delighted to see NWS as a tag.
