About meJack of all trades, master of none sums me up pretty good. I'm trained as a veterinarian and worked with microbes and food for some years, then switched to marketing and information. Between 2000-2008 I worked in the successful company behind the MySQL database. I also did some farming and horse breeding. Currently I'm spending full time writing a sequel to my latest Swedish novel "Svavelvinter" (Sulphur Winter). The setting is a fantasy renaissance world roughly based on 15th century Italy, the Roman republic and ancient Mesopotamia. It is also often a caricature of our own greedy times.

About my libraryMost of my reading consists of research for my writing. This of course includes history but also less obvious subjects like philosophy, business literature and sociology. Every now and then I read fiction for pleasure although my patience has worn thin over the years.
