About meI'm pretty new to the SCA and this is my Library Thing just related to research and the historical time periods. I'm interested in costuming, cookery, calligraphy, heraldry, beading, jewelry making, theatre, music and..well a little bit of everything except fighting!
About my libraryI am building my library slowly as funds permit but I already have a huge list of things that I want! I devour books and magazines and am often bedridden (sometimes for months on end) so reading is my life in some respects.

25 years in the SCA and two continents and I notice that I'm still way behind when it comes to books! Still, the couple of thousand yards of various fabrics may make up for some of it. How can you turn down Pendleton woolens at $3.00 a yard?
I just tested the laptop computer my son gave me with its wireless card. That works in the basement where the real library is stored. I chose my house to fit my books and nearly drove my realtor nuts when he couldn't understand why an nice maiden lady would want such a big place! I finally got through to him when I took him to the library and showed about how many volumes it takes to make up 3 tons! :-)
