About meI've always made some time to read, though it wasn't always easy. Now, between a (sometimes) slow moving night job and plenty of days off, I have all the time I need to indulge myself!

I'm a single mother of two mostly-grown sons, and a medical technologist in a hospital laboratory.

About my libraryMy library tends to run more toward fiction than non, though I do have some non-fiction scattered in there. I intend to use Library Thing to post what I have read, rather than what I have on hand. I keep a running list of what I've read, for two reasons. I like to eyeball what I'm reading, and hopefully throw some "learnin'" stuff in with the fun and fluff - though that's largely been unsuccessful. And I also like to keep a list because I read pretty fast and tend to retain little. Lists keep me from repeating myself. Due to an unfortunate computer crash, I've lost my 2006, 2007, 2008 and Jan - end of April 2009 lists, grr. Though I was able to recover some of my lists from my library's website and blogs.

I gather recs from all over the internet, and look forward to Library Thing being a valuable resource for that as well!
