About meI'm a historical fiction author of THE LAST QUEEN, about Juana la Loca of Castile (Ballantine Books, 2008); THE CONFESSIONS OF CATHERINE DE MEDICI (Ballantine, 2010) and THE TUDOR SECRET (St Martin's Press / Griffen, 2011).

THE LAST QUEEN was a Marin Independent Journal bestseller and was released in trade paperback in May, 2009. It has sold in twelve countries to date. My next novel, THE CONFESSIONS OF CATHERINE DE MEDICI, was released in the spring of 2010 and has sold in six countries to date.

I have an MFA in Writing, with a major in Renaissance Studies and I love talking to book groups. Please visit my website at to learn more about me, my books, and to schedule an author chat, as well as view a special news on me and my work.

I just finished "The Queen's Vow" and enjoyed it greatly - thanks again for another great adventure with the Spanish monarchy!
I really enjoyed "The Last Queen" - a great insight into a character who has received a tough treatment from historians. You made her seem very human and a maybe not quite as "mad" as some would make Queen Juana out to be. I'm looking forward to your next novel about another strong female character!
Hey to Christopher from Amy in Louisiana...

I am a HUGE fan of "The Last Queen" and I cannot wait until your next book! Thanks for producing such a quality piece of work!

Hi Christopher,
I was given 'The Last Queen' for my recent birthday. Enjoying it very much as I have an interest in the Renaissance and Spanish history. Look forward to THE CONFESSIONS OF CATHERINE DE MEDICI!
