About meI served as travel editor for Southern Living Magazine for a decade and was editorial director for Dockery House Publishing for more than 25 years. I have written more than 60 books, including the award-winning XIT: The American Cowboy, The Unending Season, The Grandest Day, Echoes from Forgotten Streets, and Spirit of America. My last three novels are Wicked Little Lies, Secrets of the Dead, and Conspiracy of Lies.I have written three screenplays: Gambler V: Playing for Keeps, a CBS mini-series, Wildcat: The Story of Sarah Delaney and the Doodlebug Man to CBS, and The Texas Rangers, a John Milius production, to TNT. I am presently a partner in a publishing and book/art marketing company, Venture Galleries.
