Thank you for your suggestion of The Spellman Files as a possible book for my secret santa to select. They did choose to send me that book and I am really looking forward to reading it. Hope you had a fantastic Christmas and sending you best wishes for the new year.
You're welcome! Happy reading!
Very interesting Santathing recs! I'll keep an eye out for Ferdydurke, from the reviews it sounds like just the sort of thing I like. Thanks, and happy new year!
Thanks for the Santathing recommendations - Wolf Hall is one of the books I've been wanting to read since I first heard about it :D
Thanks for the great Santa Thing choices! It looks like you nailed my tastes. I hope you lucked out as well. Can't wait to start reading! Thanks again and happy holidays!
Thanks for the nice words. Always enjoy talking about books.
Try not to fall over from shock -- SantaThing came today! The Golden Ass and Paris Was Yesterday. I love them! AND, it is my day off, so I can actually sit down and read them!

Thank you!!
Thank you for your kind message.
I'll let you know when the books come -- I still haven't peaked at the comments so I'm going to be completely surprised!

It looks like we share an nyrb addiction....
Thank you, I've never reassured a whole state before!
We went to the mountains for a couple of days after Christmas, and Odd and the Frost Giants was our read-aloud. It was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thanks again!
Thanks for the well-chosen Santa gifts for my sons. I know it's tough to pick books for folks who don't have a library to look at, and equally tough to choose for kids you don't know. These were both great choices, and we are enjoying them. I hope Santa brought you lots of great new books, and that your holidays have time for lots of reading!

Hi, and thanks for leaving a comment. Although I'm no longer with Borders (sad, after nearly 16 years...) my interest is piqued--have we interacted? Your recently added books aren't giving me any clues.

Happy reading!

I'm glad you liked the gifts. I hit on that particular Charyn book because my first thought was to order his baseball novel The Seventh Babe, but that turns out to be more expensive than I thought. Well worth a look if you turn out to enjoy the Isaac Quartet.
Re: "without a hitch"

Heh, good point. Now, regarding Edward and Bella's wedding, we could argue if it would have been more successful with or without a hitch, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms. :)
Hi, Nathan. Glad we could finally connect. I did LibraryThing intensively for a while but ran out of steam -- could never sign up fast enough to review books. Maybe meeting you in here will give me some new momentum.
