Nice review on Birchwood. Thanks.
Thanks, Kate. I'm glad that you liked my blurbs (I refuse to call them real reviews). I do like the Medicus series especially because she doesn't over-romantisize the time period.
Here's to hoping that your library room is in the near future.

Ok, now I've got to say that I am green with envy. You have SHELVES for your books. I've got two bookshelves and the rest have cubbyholes elsewhere. SOMEDAY I hope to have my library as neat as yours. See you on the threads.

I see just now that you have added a Norton Anthology of American Literature. YAYs and way to go! :)
Catelin, Thanks for letting me know how you liked Suite Francaise! So many people wrote bad reviews on it, but as you know I loved it and thought it was just a heartbreaking novel. I haven't read her latest (nor have I read David Golder), but I intend to read both one of these days!
My you have a nice collection...even if it's just the tip of the 'berg!
Zowie, Cateline!
One more for a thousand!
:)
Thanks for joining Books Compared! Your other reviews are great (I really must read some Nabokov), so I hope you'll soon be inspired to share some of your insights about books in comparison.
