About meCraig Brummer was born in Hollywood, Florida and grew up in the beach area of Fort Lauderdale with typical seaside hobbies of sailing, surfing, SCUBA diving and just hanging out at the beach. He spent nine years in the U.S. Army as enlisted, NCO and commissioned officer serving in Japan, Germany, the Pentagon and various U.S. military bases. An avid reader, his writing is influenced by such authors as C.J. Cherryh, Robert Heinlein, Andre Norton among many others. He has worked for a couple of America’s largest corporations and is currently a Vice President of Business Development. Now living in Georgia with his wife and a household of furry critters he finds writing as a great escape and relaxation from the daily turmoil’s of planet Earth.

His first novel, A New Beginning is set in an era where man has just begun colonizing space stations and a few planets. Earth is controlled by mega corporations that rule the political bodies and economies of Earth much as ancient kings ruled their realms. The story centers on how a young indentured worker, a slave, gains her freedom and happiness as how her actions intertwine with the policies of Earth and the Federation. The story shows how everyday spacers rise to the challenges that face them, and how a young woman from Earth finds happiness in space.
