About meI was born with a natural need to express myself creatively. My passions include but are not limited to painting, photography and poetry. I am always looking for new and creative ways to express myself. I am a proud thrift store shopper and get great joy of of giving new life to my found treasures. I consider myself an eco-artist and will find a way to reuse/recycle most anything. Professionally I am an educator. Passionately I am an artist and activist. I never miss the opportunity to stand up or speak out for a cause I believe in. I actively involve myself in advocating for human rights, animal rights and environmental issues. I believe all life is valuable, that all beings are deserving of compassion, respect and kindness, and that they all deserve to live a life free of cruelty, pain, and torture. For this reason I have chosen to adopt a vegan lifestyle. During the winter I tend to hibernate, and can usually be found curled up on the couch with a book, a coffee and one or all of my three little kittens. During the warmer months I try to spend as much time as possible in or near the water.

About my libraryI love to read memoirs and biographies, real stories about real people facing and overcoming real challenges. I love to read contempory and historical fiction. I enjoy the inner workings of the body, mind and spirit thus I like to read philosphy, pyschology and spiritually books. As an Early Childhood Educator my library contains a vast collection of children's literature. I also love to read poetry, poetry and more poetry.
