Oh! And I'll always have a soft spot for the book that started it all - [The Silver Kiss], which I read when I was 8 or so. After that, there was no turning back!
For modern vampire fiction Anita Blake is my favorite hands-down. For "classic" lit I'd have to say "Carmilla" is my favorite vampire tale. I keep meaning to get around to Varney at some point...

I've never heard of Nancy A. Collins, and Harris is fun.
I, too, have an inclination towards supernatural-themed books - I'm a shameless vampire nut. ;)

I say give the other series a try - you'll know with the first one whether or not they're for you.

And thank you! I've been pretty excited about our nerd-nurseries.
Hello there. So far I have read all of the books in the Sookie series, the Lily Bard series, and the Harper Connely series (and have just started the first in the Aurora Teagarden series). I would have to say that the Lily Bard novels have been my favorite so far; there is far more character development, and I feel that Harris is a stronger writer when she steers away from the supernatural. All in all, though, she's been great for light and fun summer reads!

Thanks for the note!
Exactly! I love it too that I can choose exact the same cover as the book I own. Oh what I wanted to ask you, you have read Anne Rice's vampire books, haevn't you? Do you recommend them?

Love, Isabella
Hi Kerri! How are you? I'm so glad you introduced me to LibraryThing! Or perhaps not, it can be quite an addiction! As soon as I have finished reading a book I rush over here to add it and then click on My Library to admire all the bookcovers *g*

Love, Isabella
Hi Kerri, probably very simple to do but I couldn't figure it out. How do you make/add tags? I like your idea of "books I haven't read yet, but want to". How do you do it?

Love, Isa

btw I think it's great that you update your LibraryThing so often. I want to do it as well, but since I'm a bit in a readers dip I don't have anything to update about! :( *g*
hi there i just saw your comment and thanks ill try it out.
I just saw that you tagged my library - thanks for the interest. ;) If you're ever looking for a suggestion, I'd be happy to throw out some titles for you!
Hi! I was really surprised by your comment :o) I didn't know I could comment here! *Ü* Thank you! BTW I love your profile avatar
I like the idea of a "names" group; what are your favorite books on the topic?
Hmmm, looks like we share werewolf books :o) Have you read any Kelley Armstrong?
