About meI have been writing and reading since I was very small. Although I am best known for my work as a writer, teacher, appraiser and quilt historian, I also write in other craft and history-related areas. I have 5 books currently in print, as well as several pattern booklet series and many magazine and newspaper articles about a range of subjects.

About my libraryI did my Master's paper on Dickens and his work. My library includes books on him, as well as about anything I can get my hands on regarding history (mostly pioneer and Western-related, but a variety of other subjects), and anything on textiles makes up the largest part of my library. But I also collect books on frugality, lost treasures, the works of Horatio Alger, and unusual mysteries. (Think Bigfoot and unusual disappearances, things like that.) My library holds approx. 3000-plus titles.
