About meI'm an author (three nonfiction books and a mystery series) and also a voracious reader! I'm the author of seven mysteries - four Theda Krakow books with Poisoned Pen and two Dulcie Schwartz mysteries with Severn House (the third, GREY ZONE, should be out winter 2011). In April 2011, Poisoned Pen Press will publish my first "pet noir," DOGS DON'T LIE, which features a bad-girl animal psychic and her crotchety tabby sidekick. Yes, I'm excited!!

My nonfiction books include "The Feline Mystique: On the Mysterious Connection Between Women and Cats" (St. Martins), so you can probably guess I love cats. Cats and books ... what more could one want?

About my libraryBarry Unsworth, Ariana Franklin, Hilary Mantel, Elizabeth Peters, Colin Cotterill, Tana French, a million others to be added soon...

Hi, Clea ~ Yes, I did read it. I enjoyed it a lot (loved the cat ~ I've lived with cats, and I imagine they'd have spoken to me just like that if they had been able to talk)! Just haven't had a chance to review it yet, but I will soon. Great premise for a series and look forward to reading your second.
Thank you, Clea. That is a great name for a book! I am getting closer to my wishlist books. I assume they don't have to be read in order? I can read Probable Claws first? I clicked again on the publisher buttons for the others.

Thank you, Clea! I looked and found Probable Claws is already available for the kindle. Hopefully the other 3 are not far behind. I clicked on all the "I would like to read this on a kindle" buttons, hoping that would speed them up.

Best wishes,

Noticed you liked Tim Gautreaux, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's similar to Gautreaux's work (Tim Gautreaux actually directed my master's thesis). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Live in Joy, In love,
Even among those who hate.
Live in joy, In health,
Even among the afflicted.
Live in joy, In peace,
Even among the troubled.
Look within. Be still.
Free from fear and attachment,
Know the sweet joy of living in the way.

Thank you, Clea! I will keep checking. k4k
Hi Clea,

Just wondering if you have any plans to convert your mystery series for reading on the Kindle. I just found them and look forward to reading them!

Thanks, Wendy! This looks like fun... of course, it's another of those great side projects that will keep me away from my writing...
