Sorry for the delay in replying...we have been travelling a lot this summer and my internet was down for some time.

Thanks for your kind words about my review of Kaputt. I thought it was a wonderful book, a forgotten classic, a book that should be much more widely known. I was introduced to it by a friend here on LT and have given it away to a number of other people. One friend I gave it to is a Professor of history at a university in Toronto; she was so impressed with it she now assigns parts of it for study in her course on modern European history. So, slowly, slowly, we are spreading the word about this fine book!

well i can't figure out this software at all.
i show us having 88 books in common, but YOU show us having 76 books in common.
now we can't BOTH be right, can we?

Hi Mom. I'm loving this site. I'm going through my shelfs a bit each week in an organized order to get them in. It's a bit time consuming, but fun. Also, it's forcing me to look at what I have and possibly remove (gasp) some books from library that I don't really need for reference or reading or sharing or ...
