I was up in your part of the country last October. Spent a lovely week in Grasmere walking in the mountains and around the lakes.
I didn't know where the Furness Peninsula was, I had to check it out!
I am currently writing about the end of the Victorian era 1899 - 1903, so was interested to hear you are reading about that era.
I am reading Amazing Grace, a biography of William Wilberforce, a fascinating character who was instrumental in abolishing slavery.
