About me Well, I obviously love reading. I don't write much myself, but I am a voracious reader of science fiction and western philosophy and contemporary American literature.
I find it rather amusing to use LibraryThing: the attempt to catalogue part of my library lets me discover gaps and strange patterns in my reading & book-buying habits... Or at least I hope to do so.

About my library I grew up on a farm, but my family always had books, mostly about (christian) religion and (Dutch) history. Some of these books have resurfaced on my shelves and found themselves in the company of Jules Verne and Iain Banks, of Heidegger and Spinoza.

Hallo Cum Libello,
(Leuke naam overigens.)

Groet,

Allacci
Hi--You wrote asking about de Coo's *De Boer in the Kunst*. I was away from my library when I got your message but I'm home again now and have checked the book. I have a hardback, what looks like the original edition. It too refers to the 1939 location of the paintings. However, it also says in the front that De Coo is also the author of several other books, and publishing dates of 1943 and 1945 are given for them. THerefore this book must be from after 1945. No copyright date is given, however.

Hi,
thanks for the compliment.
I see we share 'bloed en liefde'. How did you get that book? I got it when I was in school. I had a role in the play. I agree it's not a good book but it was fun to play. Bomans was a favorite of mine in my young years.
