As noted by me in my post here, you like few other members reviwed the NetGalley version of The Ghosts That......which was unedited. The current commercially available version is the edited version and makes for a delightful read. It is a book with psychological themes about a troubled childhood and its perfectly understandable for the protagonist to philosophize as she engages in some hazy reflections about life and its meaning during her adulthood. I couldn't put it down!
