About meMy name is Dan and I like to collect books and read as many as I can. I have many interests, most are reflected in my books.

About my libraryAlthough I tend not to read much fiction anymore though I'm trying to complete my collections of certain authors. I used to read mainly science fiction but now I'm trying to concentrate on classic fiction and C20th greats if I read any fiction at all. I'm really enjoying reading history at the moment as well as my usual mix of popular science, philosophy, biography etc. I stopped reading Star wars books in my teens when they became too far numerous and the quality decreased, many listed here belong to my sister. I purchase a lot of books from Oxfam (and other charity shops but Oxfam is the best) as its a great way to find quality, inexpensive books that you otherwise may not seek to read, plus its giving to charity, which is always nice!

Hi,

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked The Wasp Factory, and I thought you might like my novel since it's also about a disturbed adolescent and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
