About meMy name is Danika and, well... my library can probably tell you all there is to know about me, when supplemented with my Bookmooch wishlist.

I work at a bookstore and I'm working towards getting a BA in English. Hopefully, I will one day be an editor/copy editor (my plan is to read for a living, of course).

I'm a lesbian, vegan, and an overall weird person. I enjoy dystopian books and am constantly working on my lesbrary (check out my lesbian book blog: The Lesbrary).

About my libraryI only list books I've either read or owned, not the books I want to own. Those are on my Bookmooch wishlist.

If you have any recommendations on books about/including lesbians, a dystopia, veganism, zombies, books about books/libraries, steampunk, feminism, anti-racism, survival, environmentalism, etc, please send them my way.

Oh, and if you have read any lesbian/queer women books lately, I'm always looking for reviews for The Lesbrary, so let me know!

>I really appreciate the comment. It made my day!

not nearly as much as how it made my day when i found your site in the first place! =)
I'm canceling the mooch of When Dreams Tremble and Winds of Fortune. I emailed the owner again (it's been a month) asking if she had any clearer idea of when she would send the books and she replied that it was all too much trouble, but maybe she'd change her mind someday. It doesn't look likely. She's not mooching or trying to scam the system; it's just a little too difficult for her. Sorry it didn't work, but I'll be glad to angel anything else you come across.
The primary subject is guy, but much of the story revolves around his lesbian mom, Jeanette.
Hugh Nissenson. The structure's rather clunky, but I had a great time with it.
Yes, I mooched one last week with a status message that it might be months and it was mailed yesterday. I hope this is one of those unexpectedly fine mooches.
Don't be too quick to thank me; I think our chances of getting the two books are pretty slim. She's a new moocher who is mooching away and delaying all books requested from her. I got the comment that she'd send the books "when she had a chance", which is, so far in her mooching history, never. But maybe she'll find some time in the near future and send them.
Your BookMooch wishlist has inspired me to add more then a few books to my own wishlist. Thanks. :P

sorry, the "lapsing into a comma" got snapped up yesterday. Thanks!
Danika- I have received Love Shook My Heart that I am angeling for you. I have posted it to my inventory (turtlegirl on BM) as Angel Book #1 reserved for you.

hey I got the wolf stuff, so drop me a note with your mailing address and I'll get it out in the mail ASAP.
Just thought I'd give you an update on the two books I was angel mooching for you.

1. 10 Women who shook the world - this mooch was finally rejected as the owner says they could not find the book
2. journal: Your favorite internet site - this mooch was sent a month ago but has not yet arrived... it may be lost

So all in all not a very successful angel mooch for you.... I'm sorry!

Anyway I will cross my fingers that the journal will still arrive :)
Noticed you liked The God of Small Things, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a grief-stricken family. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter)in case you'd like to read more about the novel before you commit:

Hi Dani,
Thanks for dropping by! I love echidnas too (obviously - d'oh) and I wish they were held in the same regard as, say, the koala. I think they are much cuter, especially watching them walk that cute pigeon-toed walk of theirs - LOL!

You have been on this site for quite a while - it is getting close to three years! This and BM bring me much joy; if too many books! :) My TBR pile doubled in my first year of joining both. It is so nice, don't you think, to find many people with similar interests and tastes; and opposite for that matter.

Nice to cross paths, and I will watch out for your posts, and for any books from down here you might like...
