About meDavid Wisehart is a writer-director-producer living in Los Angeles.
He is the author of a fantasy novel, Devil's Lair, and several short stories, one of which was selected for the Kindle All-Stars anthology. His stage plays include Valentino and Endgame, which was selected for the Best of the Hollywood Fringe Festival program. He wrote the libretto for a one-act opera, The Other Wise Man, which premiered in Hollywood. He co-wrote an animated short film, Bushwacker, starring Ed Asner. He also served as dramaturge for Santa Clarita's Shakespeare in the Park and edited the College of the Canyon's New Works Festival Anthology.
His theater directing credits include Endgame, Blithe Spirit, Friends Like These, The Other Wise Man, and Valentino. His theater acting credits include Mortimer in The Fantasticks, Charles in Blithe Spirit, The Bishop in The Balcony, Ernest in The Importance of Being Earnest, Frank in All My Sons, Senator Cooper in Rumors, Renfield in Dracula, Leonardo da Vinci in Valentino, Captain Brackett in South Pacific, Baptista in The Taming of the Shrew, and the title role in Tartuffe.
For Fox Interactive he produced James Cameron's Titanic Explorer and three video games based on The Simpsons. For Virgin he produced educational software based on Charles Schulz's Peanuts characters. He wrote several art history documentaries for Philips Media. He received his B.A. in Film and Television from UCLA, and was the Review Editor for the Daily Bruin. He served as a research assistant for The Aerospace Corporation. During high school he programmed computers for NASA.
