I started with Horton Hatches the Egg, Bobsey Twins, Black Stallion series, followed by teenage romance. As an adult I read the Little House on the Prarie books and that got me hooked on the good stuff--though I still manage cereal boxes and mysteries. I was fortunate to start my collection before the internet so have many of my early books through the satisifying exploration of dusty used book stores,wherever.
