Uncommon languages is one of the best ideas for a list I've seen (and I always knew that my stats & memes page would someday prove useful)--cheers for it. I'm very keen on works in translation, so I'll have a look at the books you've entered there. As for Estonian & Persian books in English, Mati Unt & Ṣādiq Hidāyat have been translated though whether or not into French, which I gather you read, I don't know.

No idea why, but I find myself hoping that I shall soon find a book translated from Maltese on the list.
